Nako Nakatsuka receives prestigious Prix Zonta

Dr. Nako Nakatsuka, currently senior scientist at the Laboratory of Biosensors and Bioelectronics, was awarded with the prestigious Prix Zonta on 10 November. The Prix Zonta, endowed with CHF 30,000, symbolises the commitment to the outstanding position of women in science.

The event at the Audimax was well attended with around 200 participants. In addition to patron Julia Dannath, VP for Personnel Development and Leadership, Prof. em. Janet Hering, former Director of Eawag and a professor at ETH and EPFL until the end of 2022, was invited as a guest speaker.

At the event, Julia Dannath addressed the commitment of ETH Zurich to female scientists and professors while award winner Nako Nakatsuka not only presented her research, but also gave a very personal insight into her life. She also thanked her team, many of whom were also present at the award ceremony.
