The pilot project OrtsNetz, a collaboration between EKZ and ETH Zurich, won in the "Special Jury Award" category. OrtsNetz investigates different demand response schemes to leverage the flexibility of households' devices for peak reduction in distribution grids. Thereby, investments in grid reinforcement can be reduced or deferred. Congratulations to Katharina Kaiser, Gustavo Valverde, and Gabriela Hug!

The Nanoverbund project, awarded in the "Buildings and Spatial Development" category, is a collaboration between IWB, ETH Zurich, EMPA, HSLU, and Sympheny. Its goal is to enable energy sharing between neighbors, enhancing efficiency, reducing emissions, and supporting the local distribution grid. Congratulations to Carlo Tajoli and Gabriela Hug!
