Abbas Rahimi received best paper award at BioCAS
Dr. Abbas Rahimi, an ETH postdoctoral fellow at the Integrated Systems Lab (IIS), has received the best paper award at the IEEE Biomedical Circuits and Systems Conference (BioCAS), Cleveland, OH, USA.

The paper is entitled "One-shot Learning for iEEG Seizure Detection Using End-to-end Binary Operations: Local Binary Patterns with Hyperdimensional Computing" by Alessio Burrello, Kaspar Schindler, Luca Benini, Abbas Rahimi. The team forms a transdisciplinary epilepsy research between the IIS and the Sleep-Wake-Epilepsy-Center (SWEC) at the Inselspital Bern.
