Matias Kagias, PhD student in Prof. Marco Stampanonis group, received the PSI Thesis Medal 2018 last Wednesday at the PSI yearly event. The PSI Thesis Medal is awarded every second year to the best PhD thesis performed at the Paul Scherrer Institute.

Computer Vision Lab graduates Igor Susmelj and Heiki Riesenkampf, founders of Mirage, and Claudia Hoessbacher, Wolfgang Heni and Benedikt Bäuerle, all Institute of Electromagnetic Fields and founders of Polariton Technologies, were among the Venture Kick stage 1 winners receiving 10.000 CHF to develop their business ideas.

Daniel Razanksy, professor at the Institute of Biomedical Imaging (IBT), has received a new $3M NIH award to develop image-guided neuromodulation.
