Integrated Systems Laboratory presents zero power touch receiver at Swiss Innovation Forum
Dr. Michele Magno and doctoral students of the Integrated Systems Laboratory (IIS) have been selected by "ETH transfer", ETH’s technology transfer office, to present their zero power receiver for touch communication and sensing during the Swiss Innovation forum in Basel.
At the annual Swiss Innovation Forum innovative new services and technologies developed in Switzerland with potential to revolutionize global marketplaces are exhibited.
Together with a team of two doctoral students and a Master's students, Michele Magno presented a zero power receiver for secure and energy-efficient communication he developed at the Integrated Systems Laboratory. The receiver exploits the human body as transmission medium: the user wears a transmitter, which sends an activation signal via the skin onto the receiver with a simple touch.
