Marcel Schuck receives SNF BRIDGE Proof of Concept Fellowship
Marcel Schuck has been awarded the BRIDGE Proof of Concept Fellowship of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) for the project “Contactless Micromanipulator for Biotechnology Applications”, which will be carried out in close collaboration with the Power Electronic Systems Laboratory.

The diversity and inclusion team at D-ITET (D+ITET) organized and moderated a panel discussion covering topics including raising awareness for discrimination in academia, the necessity to transform institutional culture, and strategies to strive towards a more equitable environment at Swiss Universities.

Petar Jokic, PhD student at CSEM and supervised by Prof. Luca Benini, won the best demo award at the VLSI Symposium 2021, as well as the best student paper award at NEWCAS 2021.
Vanessa Wood: The importance of learning about each other
At the beginning of February, I participated in a virtual retreat together with my colleagues from the Executive Board. For me, this retreat reinforced how important it is – particularly in these COVID times – to put extra effort into learning about each other and creating opportunities to communicate.
175 students joined the Zoom session "Vertiefungsrichtungen am D-ITET"
Around 175 Bachelor's students joined the call on 1 June 2021 and took the chance to reach out to faculty and study coordinator Reto Kreuzer. They learned more about the possible specializations on Bachelor's and Master's level, which were further explained by professors of each area.
