"Overcoming Bias in Academia": Around 100 participants attended D+ITET panel discussion
The diversity and inclusion team at D-ITET (D+ITET) organized and moderated a panel discussion covering topics including raising awareness for discrimination in academia, the necessity to transform institutional culture, and strategies to strive towards a more equitable environment at Swiss Universities.
In addition to Estefania Cuero and Christian Pierce, two experts in diversity and inclusion, the panel included D-ITET professor and 2020 ALEA award winner Prof. Gabriela Hug. The event was moderated by Nako Nakatsuka, member of D+ITET Diversity Team and AVETH Diversity Team at ETH Zurich.
Almost 100 participants attended the online event on 26 May 2021, followed by a lively Q&A session.
