Christian Franck in the SRF Podcast: Saving electricity - easier with direct current in the grid
The energy turnaround requires more sustainably produced electricity. It is also important that the electricity flows through the grid as efficiently as possible. When it comes to transmitting energy, direct current offers clear advantages: fewer energy losses than with alternating current, which dominates today.
