Prof. em. Dr. Mohamed Mansour: 30.08.1928 - 26.10.2022 ✝
We mourn the death of Prof. em. Mohamed Mansour, former head of the Institute of Automatic Control (IfA), who passed away on 26 October.

Mohamed Mansour was born in Egypt and studied Electrical Engineering at Alexandria University. In 1966 he was chief assistant and lecturer at ETH Zurich. In 1968 he was elected Professor of Automatic Control at ETH Zurich and headed the Automatic Control Laboratory. Mohamed Mansour retired in 1993, but remained active as Emeritus Professor until his death.
