Full house at D-ITET's Master's Graduation Ceremony

On 23 June 2023 D-ITET's Master's Graduation Ceremony took place in ETH's Scherrer auditorium. More than 150 graduates of the Master's programmes in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (EEIT), Biomedical Engineering (BME), Energy Science and Technology (EST), and Quantum Engineering (QE) attended the celebration together with their families and friends. Congratulations and all the best for the future!
Preparations for the RoboCup

Preparations for this year's RoboCup, which will take place in Bordeaux, France, are in full swing. This international robot soccer tournament brings together student teams from different countries to compete in 7-on-7 matches. In addition to the competition, RoboCup also serves as a robotics conference.
SAFARI Research Group received the Distinguished Artifact Award at ISCA 2023

We are thrilled to announce that SAFARI Research Group, lead by Prof. Onur Mutlu, received the Distinguished Artifact Award at ISCA 2023 for their project titled "RowPress: Enhancing Read Disturbance in Modern DRAM Chips."
Graphene photodetector shows unprecedented speed

Optical data communication requires an ever-growing need for faster devices. Scientists of the Institute of Electromagnetic Fields (IEF) have developed the world’s fastest photodetector up to this point. The combination of metamaterials and graphene has led to the record breaking >500 GHz bandwidth. These devices could pave the way for the next generation highest speed photodetectors.
Swissloop Rollout Event 2023

On 14 June 2023, the Swissloop rollout event took place in the event hangar of the Innovation Park Zurich in Dübendorf. ETH Zurich and the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering support the student initiative Swissloop as sponsors and congratulate the project team on the successful presentation of the new prototype "Bertrand Piccard". With their pod "Bertrand Piccard" we wish the team much success for the European Hyperloop Week 2023!

Florian Schenk reveiced the Best Oral Presentation Award
