SAFARI Research Group receives DSN 2025 Test of Time Award

The SAFARI Research Group, headed by Prof. Onur Mutlu, has been awarded the Test of Time Award at the 55th IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks.
Jasmin Smajic awarded the title "Professor"

Dr Jasmin Smajic, currently Senior Scientist at the Institute of Electromagnetic Fields and Lecturer at ETH Zurich, has been awarded the title "Professor". He is a leading scientist in the field of theoretical and computational electromagnetics.
Timothée Proix appointed Assistant Professor

Dr Timothée Proix, currently Research Group Leader at the University of Geneva, has been appointed Assistant Professor of Computational Neuroscience. He focuses on the neural bases of language in his research, which combines theoretical modelling, data-driven analysis and invasive neurophysiology in human beings. He will join the Institute of Neuroinformatics as of 1 August.
Giray Yağlıkçı wins DSN-2025 William C. Carter Award

Giray Yağlıkçı from the SAFARI Research Group headed by Prof. Onur Mutlu received the DSN-2025 William C. Carter PhD Dissertation Award in Dependability.
Prof. Ursula Keller elected to “Foreign Fellowship” of the Royal Society

Among 90 exceptional researchers, Prof. Ursula Keller has been awarded a “Foreign Fellowship” of the Royal Society. The expert in Ultrafast Laser Physics is the only scientist from Switzerland to receive this honour this year.
Distinguished Paper Award for COMSEC at IEEE Security and Privacy conference

The COMSEC group has won a Distinguished Paper Award at the 46th IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy in San Francisco. The group, headed by Prof. Kaveh Razavi, was recognized for their paper titled “Breaking the Barrier: Post-Barrier Spectre Attacks”.
