Master's Ceremony

Once a year the Master's Graduation Ceremony takes place at D-ITET, where graduates are solemnly celebrated in the presence of around 400 guests (relatives and friends).

The following Master's programme graduates are invited to the Master Graduation Ceremony at D-ITET:

  • MSc Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
  • MSc Biomedical Engineering
  • MSc Energy Science and Technology
  • MSc Quantum Engineering

At the event, there will be speeches from external guests and from student representatives, music and the congratulation of all graduates. At the same occasion, ETH medals for outstanding Master's thesis, the Willi Studer prize for the best student of the year and other prizes are awarded.

The diploma certificates are sent by mail, so they are not actually handed out at the Master's Ceremony.

Personal invitations will be sent out to graduates to the last email address provided in myStudies. The invitation includes all information concerning the programme and online registration.

The next Master's Graduation Ceremony will take place on Friday, 2 July 2027.

Conditions for participation and further details:

  • Deadline for degree request: To participate in the Master's Graduation Ceremony 2027, a valid degree request must have been submitted (myStudies) by the end of April 2027 (Date tbc).
  • The invitations will be sent in May 2027 to the private email address entered in myStudies.
  • Each graduate can bring up to 2 guests to the event.
  • The group photo of the graduates will be taken at 3:45 p.m. The official ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m.
