Facilities and Services
In addition to its research laboratories D-ITET also runs a number of departmental services including the IT Services Group (ISG) D-ITET, the Microelectronic Design Centre and the mechanical workshop.
Center for Project-Based Learning
The D-ITET Center for Project-Based Learning (PBL) primarily focuses on creating, promoting and providing education and courses with projects and hands-on practice for Bachelor's students, but also Master's students.
IT Services Group (ISG) D-ITET
The IT Services Group (ISG) D-ITET offers system administration, information and IT security, software development (e.g. database, web applications), web design and hosting of internet services.
Microelectronics Design Centre
The Microelectronics Design Centre provides microelectronic circuit design (VLSI chips and ASICs) and printed circuit board design (PCBs) services for the D-ITET laboratories.
Mechanical workshop
The D-ITET mechanical workshop is equipped with the latest computer automated machines, and employs highly skilled machinists who manufacture parts, experimental setups, and prototypes for the research laboratories.
Facility services
The facility services (team overview) are responsible for the buildings ETZ, ETL, ETF, ETA, GLC as well as 26 external locations.
