Dr. Luis Dominguez Palomeque

Luis Dominguez (Ph.D. in Process Systems Engineering, Imperial College London, 2011; M.A.Sc. Chemical Engineering, University of Ottawa, 2006; BEng. Chemical Engineering, Minatitlan Institute of Technology, 2022) worked as a scientist at ABB Corporate Research Center Switzerland between 2011 and 2015 where he led Research and Development (R&D) projects and Technology Transfers in various industries.

After taking different corporate management roles in process automation and digitalization at ABB, and Sulzer Management, Luis Dominguez focused on Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.

Since 2021 Luis Dominguez has worked at Lonza AG, a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and nutrition markets where he leads the digital transformation of manufacturing and commercial operations.

His research interest lies in entrepreneurship, development, and commercialization of technologies and solutions, including Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

Luis Dominguez holds an Executive MBA from IMD and an Executive Certificate in Global Management from INSEAD Business Schools.
