Best girls of the Swiss Kangaroo Competition visited D-ITET

As part of the Kangaroo goes Science event, the 100 best girls of the Swiss Kangaroo Competition visited ETH Zurich. We're proud that a group of them dropped by the Laboratory of Nanoelectronics at D-ITET. More than six million children worldwide take part in this mathematics competition – around 35,000 of them in Switzerland.
100 happy graduates present at the Master Ceremony 2018

Exactly 100 graduates of the Master programmes MSc EEIT, MSc EST and MSc BME attended the D-ITET Master Ceremony at Audimax on 22 June 2018.
Gottfried Ungerboeck receives Shannon Award

The Austrian communications engineer Gottfried Ungerboeck received this year's Claude E. Shannon Award. He has finished his PhD at ETH Zurich and has been a guest lecturer for "Classical and Modern Channel Coding" at D-ITET.
Studienwoche 2018

During the event "ETH Studienwoche 2018” from 4-8 June, 30 high school students had the opportunity to get in touch with students and scientists from the two engineering departments Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET) as well as Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering (D-MAVT).
1st Prize Paper Award for the PES at IEEE ECCE Asia 2018 (IPEC 2018)

Piotr Czyz, PhD student at the Power Electronic Systems Laboratory (PES), received the 1st Prize Paper Award at the IEEE ECCE Asia 2018 (IPEC 2018).
Hybrid overhead lines: More power, not more power lines

Two projects of the National Research Programmes “Energy Turnaround” and “Managing Energy Consumption” have determined – in collaboration with the High Voltage Lab at D-ITET – the optimum design of hybrid overhead lines needed to increase the capacity of the power transmission grid and, at the same time, win popular acceptance for the new technology.
