Public release of FlockLab2
The Computer Engineering Group of Prof. Lothar Thiele is pleased to announce the public release of FlockLab2, a refinement and extension of the original FlockLab testbed concept.
Awards for Dr. Mehmet Ozdas
Dr. Mehmet Ozdas from the Neurotechnology group of Prof. Mehmet Yanik received both the Young Investigator Award 2020 of the FUS foundation as well as the Marino Memorial Talent Prize awarded by the Swiss Pediatric Oncology Group.
Best paper award for Institute of Neuroinformatics
A team of ETH and UZH researchers at the Institute of Neurinformatics (Chang Gao, Antonio Rios-Navarro, Xi Chen, Tobi Delbruck, Shih-Chii Liu) received the best paper award at the 2nd IEEE International Conference on Artifical Intelligence Circuits and Systems.
SecurePay wins best paper award at EuroS&P
SecurePay won the 2020 best paper award at the annual European Symposium on Security and Privacy (EuroS&P). The paper is a collaboration of Prof. Kaveh Razavi, head of the computer security group, and researchers from VU Amsterdam and University of Cyprus.

A cordial welcome to all new Bachelor's and Master's students at D-ITET! During the "Welcome Day" on 14 September, Director of Studies Prof. Sebastian Kozerke, Study Coordinator Reto Kreuzer and representatives from the student organizations AMIV, LIMES and SOSETH provided the new students with important information for their start at ETH Zurich.
Great success: Online Computational Psychiatry Course 2020
From 7 to 12 September 2020, the 6th annual international Computational Psychiatry Course (CPC) is held – for the first time completely online – at ETH and University Zurich. The course brings together (prospective) engineers and clinicians and teaches the mathematical modeling of neuronal circuits and cognition to shed light on psychiatric disorders. The event has attracted 1’000 registered participants, about four times more than in previous years.
