Prof. Luca Benini has received the A. Richard Newton Technical Impact Award in Electronic Design Automation. The award honors a person or persons for an outstanding technical contribution within the scope of electronic design automation, as evidenced by a paper published at least ten years before the presentation of the award.

Prof. Laurent Vanbever receives Credit Suisse Award for Best Teaching
After winning the Golden Owl in 2016 and 2019, Prof. Laurent Vanbever received the Credit Suisse Award for Best Teaching at this year's ETH day on 21 November. The aim of the prize, awarded by the student association VSETH, is to promote quality teaching at tertiary level, and to strengthen Switzerland as a science and research location.
The "Schülerinnentag" 2020 was held online
This year's edition of the "Schülerinnentag", organised by the association "Ladies in Mechanical and Electrical Studies" (LIMES), was attended by around 40 schoolgirls in the morning of 23 November. In addition to the presentation of the study programmes "Electrical Engineering and Information Technology" and "Mechanical Engineering", the event included further presentations, videos and discussions on the study programmes.

The paper "A Battery-Free Long-Range Wireless Smart Camera for Face Recognition" from Marco Giordano, Philipp Mayer and Michele Magno (IIS) received the best presentation video award at the 8th International Workshop on Energy Harvesting & Energy-Neutral Sensing Systems, 16 November 2020. ENSsys 2020 is a workshop in conjunction with the prestigious ACM SenSys.
