Brief Biography:

Andrea Cercaci was born in Jesi (Italy) on February 24, 2000. In 2021, he graduated from Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) with a BSc in Electrical Engineering. In 2023, he received his MSc in Micro- and Nanotechnologies for Integrated Systems, a joint program between Polytechnic University of Turin, Grenoble INP (France), and EPFL (Switzerland). During this program, he worked on microfluidics and photonics at the BIOS laboratory at EPFL and on nanophotonics at the LINQS laboratory at Stanford University (United States). In July 2024, he started his PhD in the Millimeter-Wave Electronics Group at ETH Zürich. His main research area is the design, process development, fabrication, and characterization of InP/GaAsSb-based Double Heterojunction Bipolar Transistors (DHBTs).
